Tefillah Conversation
This Shabbat
Our Beth Jacob tefillah team came together this spring to lead our community in a process of deepening our engagement as a community on Shabbat mornings. In March, 109 of us responded to a survey that asked us about what we find meaningful in prayer and what draws us to this community. Read the nine themes our tefillah team distilled from our survey responses. Hear how the team is starting to think with us about tefillah. Reflect with other Beth Jacob folks about what we hope for in prayer. Our tefillah team will invite us into conversation as a community just before musaf in shul.

Beth Jacob Annual Meeting
The Beth Jacob Annual Meeting will be held at the synagogue at 7 pm on Tuesday, June 11. Officially the primary purpose of the meeting is to elect new members of the Board of Trustees (see reverse for the slate of nominees). It is also a time where we traditionally celebrate our accomplishments, honor and thank our volunteers and staff, and enjoy a little nosh and a chance to schmooze.
The agenda includes, among other things:
- President's Report
- Presentation of Bud Sweet Award to Laurie Radofsky
- Recognition of outgoing members of the Board of Trustees
We hope to see you there!

Baseball: Twins vs Yankees
Beth Jacob celebrates the 4th of July with the Minnesota Twins as they meet the Yankees at Twins Stadium. We will be going as a group to the Friday afternoon game (Lou Gehrig Bobbleheads to the first 10,000 fans!) and celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat afterwards in Mendota Heights. Tickets are $30 per person.

Please volunteer to lead a song or make a song request a week and a half ahead of the date, so Aaron Hodge Silver, our songbook designer, can get it ready. Questions, comments, requests, and to VOLUNTEER TO LEAD A SONG, call or e-mail Pam Winthrop Lauer: wpdj@usfamily.net, 952-432-7038.

Dreaming About Jewish Learning
Presentation and Conversation Sunday, June 29
This spring, Rabbis Allen and Emma visited the Jewish Enrichment Center in Chicago. They were deeply moved to witness a vibrant, engaged, embodied model of Jewish learning for kids and families that we think will inspire our community. Come learn with Rabbi Rebecca Milder, founder of the Jewish Enrichment Center, about what her community has created and how, and then talk together about what we dream for our children and families. Nosh served, babysitting available. RSVP here (helpful, not required) .
