 How do we respond to the Psalmist's command that we "Seek peace and pursue it"? Rabbi Amy Eilberg will teach an experiential session demonstrating ways to practice the Jewish value of peace in the midst of difficult conversations in our lives.

Practicing the Ways of Peace
 Drawing on the ancient Jewish system of Mussar, Rabbi Amy Eilberg will teach on some of the middot or soul traits that are essential to pursuing peace in our personal and communal lives and in our engagement with the world. This session will include study and guidance on regular personal practice to strengthen the spiritual muscles needed by seekers of peace. |
K'tanim Go to the Zoo

Join Beth Jacob K'tanim for a water-themed outing for Pesach at the Como Zoo! Meet in the front lobby, and bring Kosher l'Pesach snacks if you wish. The program will be about an hour, and then feel free to enjoy the zoo!

Sararosa Davies Wins Contest
 Congratulations to BJUSYer Sararosa Davies, who received first prize in this year's Keren Or writing and photography contest! Fifty-one Jewish teens representing 23 schools and twelve synagogues from throughout the metro region submitted 156 poems, pieces of prose, and photographs. This year's winners will also be featured in an exhibit titled Keren Or: A Decade of Writing and Photography, a 10-year retrospective of the contest, at the Sabes JCC's Tychman Shapiro Gallery. The exhibit opens on April 27 and runs through May 22.

The History of Invulnerability
 Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster were teenagers living in Cleveland, Ohio when they created Superman. After a string of rejections, the mobster Lucky Luciano and his friend, smut publisher Harry Donenfeld, decided to start Action Comics and selected Superman for the lead feature. Embraced by both children and adults, Superman grew to iconic status amidst life of the depression and W.W.II. Based on true events, this intriguing new play tells the tumultuous story, intertwining the events of a world in strife, a place where even Superman has his limits.

Jewish Community Planning Process Listening Session Data and Findings Available
The Jewish Federation of Greater St. Paul has completed community Listening Sessions, the first phase of the comprehensive planning study designed to understand and address our community's needs over the next 10 to 20 years. The next phase is now underway, in which community leadership will choose key issues for further research and action recommendations. The data and findings from the Listening Sessions are available on the Federation website at The information available on the website includes an executive summary that explains the purpose, methodology, results and next steps of this project. It also includes detailed data on what participants identify as benefits to living in the St. Paul Jewish community and what they see as concerns.
The Jewish Community Planning Process is a project of the Jewish Federation of Greater St. Paul, and is guided by a leadership team consisting of area rabbis, agency executives and lay leaders.
