Arbor Day in Balboa Park - Friday, April 24
School Children help plant trees for Arbor Day Friends of Balboa Park is excited to kickoff the "Garden Party of the Century" with our Annual Arbor Day Celebration in Balboa Park, Friday, April 24, 2015 - National Arbor Day, 10 am - 12pm at the War Memorial Building Lawn.  Please join us for this celebration and other exciting horticulture events highlighting the plants and programs that make Balboa Park the gem of San Diego and one of the world's most interesting civic gardens.  We invite your participation!

We invite you to join us for Arbor Day, and together with our Park friends, please help us celebrate spring in Balboa Park! All events are FREE and open to the public.
  • Trees for Health Garden Tours - April 25, 11 am - 3pm
  • Bird Park Games - May 2, 11am - 3pm
  • Garden Party of the Century - May 9
    • 9:30 am:  Kid's Floral Wagon Parade
    • 11:30 am:  Marine Corps Commemorative Plant Exchange and Cabrillo Bridge March
    • 4:00 pm:  Youth Orchestra of the Californias
