See the magnificent display, supported by our generous Poinsettia donors. The Botanical Building is open daily from 10 am to 4pm, and closed on Thursdays. During the holiday week, it will be closed on both WED. Dec. 24th and WED. Dec. 31.

San Diego History Center This entertaining 30-minute documentary on the history and wonder of Balboa Park, San Diego's cultural epicenter, features stunning vistas, motion graphics, aerial photography and an original sound track. The film is free with museum admission.

for the Centennial Kick-off!

Grand Procession and Spreckels Organ Centennial Concert
WED. Dec 31
7:00 pm

Ring in the New Year at this extraordinary, free, historic event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Great Spreckels Organ in Balboa Park. Activities will kick-off at 7 pm with a Grand Procession down El Prado from the Bea Evenson Fountain to the Spreckels Organ Pavilion. Friends of Balboa Park will be there marching in the parade - come join us! The concert will include: a 150-voice choir, brass fanfare, 2 bagpipe bands, time-machine visit from John D. Spreckels, world premiere composition by Civic Organist Dr. Carol Williams, new pipe unveiling, fireworks and more! Click here for more information.
