County Fair announces Park theme
The 2015 San Diego County Fair will celebrate Balboa Park, a San Diego icon, and commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition, which was held in the park. Click here to read the City's press release.

Our Annual Awards Luncheon October 21st is less than a month away and we're excited to share some fun updates for you. Register by September 30 to receive an early bird table discount!

Mayor Kevin Faulconer and the San Diego County Fair announced the theme for this year's County Fair and we're thrilled that Balboa Park will be front and center: "A Fair to Remember, A Celebration of World's Fairs and Balboa Park."

This weekend four of the International Cottages are hosting "Taste of Asia" - great food, fun, and entertainment for the entire family.

Balboa Park is brimming with lots of activities and great exhibits. We hope to see you soon!

Yes, that's Betty Peabody in an electriquette!* No, she's not cruising down El Prado, but you can have your picture taken in an "electriquette," a motorized wicker cart, one of the stars of San Diego's 1915-1916 Panama-California Exposition. Click here to read more about them.

Our friends at Shapery Enterprises are loaning us an electriquette for fun photo opportunities during our reception hour. We'll have a photo booth in front of a backdrop taken from the 1915 postcard of the El Prado walkway. (pictured above, courtesy of David Marshall.)

The Annual Awards Luncheon is a great time to reconnect with old friends, buy a chance to win a fabulous raffle prize, and enjoy lunch catered by The Prado. This year's theme: "San Diego: On the Eve of Greatness" inspires us to capture the spirit of the city on the verge of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. There is so much excitement in the air as we ready for the Exposition's Centennial.
