Hebrew Theological College proudly announces its continued Accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission of The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Following a two-year Self-Study process undertaken by HTC faculty and staff, and a visit to the Skokie and Chicago campuses by a team of evaluators last spring, the Commission formally announced that Hebrew Theological College continues to meet its Standards for Accreditation. Accreditation signifies that the College's academic programs meet nationally recognized standards and that students earning a baccalaureate degree are well prepared for employment or graduate and professional study.
"HTC was recognized for its dedication to learning and teaching, focused on the development of each individual student. The team was impressed with the commitment shown by our department chairs and faculty members and in the high level of student satisfaction and alumni accomplishment," noted Rabbi Dr. Jerold Isenberg, Chancellor.
The Commission's next comprehensive evaluation of Hebrew Theological College is scheduled in 2021-22. The College is responsible for submitting a monitoring report on retention, financial development, assessment, and planning in 2014. "We are confident that HTC will continue to meet and exceed the Commission's expectations, providing an outstanding academic experience for our students while providing academic and spiritual leadership for our community," said Brian Levinson, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
HTC provides exciting and rigorous college opportunities for men through HTC's Beis Midrash program, and for women through the Blitstein Institute, offering majors in both Judaic Studies and various disciplines in the Liberal Arts and Sciences, including Accounting, Business, Education, English, Health Sciences and Psychology. HTC continues to offer its year-abroad Israel Experience Program, Jewish Studies Online and Adult Degree Completion programs. Additionally, HTC will move forward with existing strategic partnerships with North Park University, Midwestern College of Pharmacy and Rush University to provide additional academic and career options in areas such as Nursing, Pharmacy, and Occupational Therapy.
