Jacob's Pillow Dance 80th Anniversary Festival; Morphoses, June 27-July 1
After a jam-packed opening week of standing ovations and raucous applause, we're excited to present two phenomenal companies this week in our theatres. Making its Jacob's Pillow debut, Morphoses presents a world premiere by an acclaimed European choreographer, and Kidd Pivot, a company quickly becoming a Pillow audience favorite, performs the first work in our "back by popular demand" series.

Performing This Week, June 27- July 1

Pillow audiences often get to experience new dance works before anyone else, and that's the case this week with MORPHOSES, presenting the world premiere of Swedish choreographer Pontus Lidberg's WITHIN (Labyrinth Within). Merging live dance, music from Bang on a Can co-founder David Lang, and his acclaimed dance film "Labyrinth Within"--starring New York City Ballet's Wendy Whelan--Lidberg's new work promises an exhilarating and completely unique theatrical experience.

Ticket sales are heating up for this premiere performance. Reserve your seats online today, and be one of the first to experience WITHIN (Labyrinth Within).

Kidd Pivot Frankfurt RM in
thrilled sold-out audiences last summer with Dark Matters, and we're excited to bring the performance back for an encore this season. Artistic Director and choreographer Crystal Pite's mysterious, intriguing work pits a lonely artist against his own creation, inciting a series of fateful twists performed by a troupe of phenomenal, rubber-limbed dancers.

In the Theatres Next Week, July 4-8
Vertigo Dance Company

One of Israel's top contemporary troupes, VERTIGO DANCE COMPANY performs Mana, tackling gravity-defying turns, off-kilter backbends, and fluid interactions that reveal powerful emotions and striking images. Paired with an eclectic score that includes waltz, jazz, and klezmer-influenced music, the dramatic set and costumes transport the audience to a faraway world of shadow, light, and inspiration.

LeeSaar The Company

is "a gutsy, brainy modern-dance troupe" (The New York Times) presenting the new work FAME, a physical, sensual, and provocative production. Actress/director Lee Sher and dancer/choreographer Saar Harari have always intrigued audiences and critics, and their troupe of international dancers deftly convey creative theatricality and powerful dancing.
