• I'm not sure how long it will be good but, as of now, Google is offering several game apps for free in celebration of Google Play's birthday.
• Visit Youtube for Schools to find educational videos in a variety of subjects.
• I need a picture ID for my son to attend a Nuclear Science Merit Badge field trip and will be making and laminating one of these.
• Daily Grammar provides over 400 free grammar lessons to download and print. 
• Here is a free St. Patrick's Day word search and some fun St. Patrick's Day activities and crafts for little ones.

• These cute little clay gnomes look fairly easy and fun to make. I think most types of clay would work. Wouldn't they look cute, sitting in a houseplant?
• How about customizing a T-shirt with a freezer paper stencil? If it's too early to wear now, it won't be for long. These make fun gifts as well. You could even design your own family homeschool T-shirt. Here's a simple version made with a paper punch design.
•  Contact paper makes it easy to use bleach to make a uniquely customized garment as well. Browse stenciling info on Wikipedia and I'm sure you can find an interesting jumping off point for a corresponding lesson in art or history.
• Here's a great list of indoor fun activities. I especially love the "Spy Training" idea. Combine it with these Harriet the Spy lesson plan ideas for a fun afternoon.
• It's not too early to start indoor seedlings. How about making your own seed starter pots from newspaper or even toilet paper rolls? Take some time with your children to learn what grows best in your area and when to plant.
 
• If you don't have room for a garden, head out to the garage and prepare a global bucket or two for your favorite veggies. This is the site where I first learned about them. Take some time to browse around this site and you'll see several examples of how these teen boys experimented with different concepts for the best results. It's not too early to be learning, planning and preparing for your own experiment!
•  I love this idea of making a beetle game to learn the body parts of an insect. You could make it more difficult by asking the child to name the body part before he gets to keep it, or even creating a set of review questions and requiring a correct answer to keep the body part. This idea could be easily adapted to many topics of study.
• If you end up with leftover plastic Easter eggs, or find some on clearance, use them to make some fun educational tools.
