Greetings!

This event will highlight a new proposal RPA has developed called, "NEC Now," that aims to establish in the next federal rail bill an institutional and financing framework capable of advancing a long-term, comprehensive overhaul of the Northeast Corridor (NEC). It also recommends a first phase program of improvements, including fixing critical state of good repair projects and the worst bottlenecks, upgrading rail stations, and a high-speed rail demonstration project between New York and Philadelphia, which would cut travel time between these two major urban hubs to 45 minutes.

RPA's Bob Yaro will present the proposal, and a distinguished panel of Federal and Northeast Corridor officials will respond.

Panel Moderator:

David Carol, Parsons Brinckerhoff

The Forum will be followed by a reception and hors d'ouevres.

Thanks!
