For fifteen years, the BlueCat Screenplay Competition has exclusively accepted feature length screenplays. For nearly as long, writers have wanted to send BlueCat their short scripts.
This year, BlueCat will accept short screenplays and establish one of the largest cash prizes in the world for a short screenplay contest, with the winner being awarded $10,000. Three Finalists will be receiving $1500 each.

Nora Ephron BlueCat's taking this outreach a step further, offering all students a discounted rate to submit their short screenplays, providing even greater access to student writers and filmmakers. As with all entrants, each student will receive written feedback on their short script.

Our Feature Prize will grow to $15,000, with four Finalists receiving $2,500 each, and two International awards $1000 each.
