Client Perspective: 'This Group Saved Our Cat's Life'
Two clients, Pamela and Monty, recently brought their cat, Misty, to UW Veterinary Care (UWVC) for help with a mysterious condition. This is their story, in Pamela's words, posted on her blog, pdubxo.com. UWVC is so proud and happy to have helped Misty and to receive this glowing review from Pamela: "The team was simply exceptional from every touch point we had: front desk, interns, residents, doctors. I can't recall such consistent good service, coupled with kindness and compassion, maybe ever." Read more.

Pet Tips: Obesity and Exercise

Oct. 12 was National Pet Obesity Awareness Day. It's a growing problem among pets, but our own Dr. Sandi Sawchuk made a recent appearance on Wisconsin Public radio to share tips for keeping your pets fit.

Of course, going for walks is one great way to keep your dog trim and healthy. In honor of National Walk Your Dog Week (Oct. 1-7), we point you to TravelWisconsin.com's article on some of the state's dog-friendly parks.

Lymphoid Cancer Study

Dogs with newly diagnosed or recurrent lymphoma, leukemia, or multiple myeloma might be eligible for this study. Current treatment options for these common canine cancers include various types of chemotherapy, but few dogs are cured and most relapse. The goal of this study is to further evaluate the effectiveness of Tanovea (Rabacfosadine for Injection), an intravenous chemotherapy agent that has been shown to induce remission in 60 to 100% of dogs with lymphoma and myeloma.
