Greetings Friends!
Wow can you believe that Labor Day is just around the corner? It has been a fantastic Summer so far and there are still a few weeks left before Fall comes which is another great time to come up and stay with us here at the LURE Resort.
The wildlife have really come out to forage and feed on the resort grounds and our pears and apples are all ready to pick and enjoy, too! Even the squirrels and the birds are busy storing food for the upcoming winter and it's so fun to watch them scurry around gathering eggcorns and twigs for their nests.
But Summer isn't over yet.....
One of the things we really love is to watch all the families having fun and enjoying the resort. It is what the LURE Resort was made for. This Summer the Watt Family and others were back for their big family vacations and reunions. Here's a picture of Don and Joyce Watt with their beautiful kids and grandchildren on our Great Lawn for their annual family photo.

This Summer we also had Susannah Cantrell and her family come up. Turns out that her significant other, Brad Holmes, is an amazing photographer and the LURE Resort in the Tahoe National Forest is a terrific setting to capture the majesty of nature at its finest. Here's a couple of pictures he captured during their stay of the resort and everyone having fun.
Summer has been great and like we said, it's not over yet. There is still lots to do and several special events and activities coming up soon. Here are just a few.
The Downieville Doin's Clamper Weekend August 22nd - 24th. If you don't know what a Clamper is, now is the time to come up and learn all about them and the fun they have as well as the good they do.
There is also the 7th Annual Big City Rod Run happening on September 12th and 13th. This is a huge weekend for car guys and gals.
Do you like music? Here's two huge events coming up you will not want to miss out on.
Country Singer Brenn Hill will be performing in Grass Valley on September 6th. Proceeds will benefit the Bear River Future Farmers of America Agriculture Boosters. For more information and to get tickets please call 530.320.2689.
Also, the 3rd Annual ZuhGfest will coming up in September. It's a 3 Day Music Festival with over 35 bands, musicians and singers performing. Each year it has grown and this year will be sensational. Food, Drinks and Vendors will be there as well.
