Saturday Night Fever is Stayin' Alive at the Dolly Hand ~ 2/23/16
 Saturdaynight
Was Saturday Night Fever one of your favorite movies of the 1970's? Did you love John Travolta in that white suit and the disco craze that was spurred by the movie and its music? Then you'll be happy to know that the iconic story of Tony - the kid from Brooklyn - who wants to dance his way to a better life is back! And back in an all-new production that shares Tony's love for dancing in spectacular new ways. Fueled by vintage Bee Gee hits like "Stayin' Alive, "Night Fever", "More than a Woman" and more, this contemporary retelling of the classic story captures the energy, passion and life-changing moments that have thrilled movie audiences since 1977. Now, a new generation of dancers meets a new generation of playgoers to explore the soaring sounds and pulsating rhythms of this coming-of-age Disco fantasy. Reviews of the show include BBC's "Hit song after hit song, bright lights and dancing to blow you away." And Theatermania.com's "The show's unique blend of poignancy and perpetual optimism coupled with the brilliance of the Bee Gees score and breathtaking choreography-should provide dazzlingly delightful nights for years to come." Also featured that evening will be the beautiful paintings of Okeechobee artist, Kathie Papasso.

Changes Coming to SNAP Availability Dates

TALLAHASSEE - Starting in March 2016, Florida's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will be making a change. Currently SNAP benefits are deposited on Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards over a 15 day period. The new schedule will spread out the deposits over a 28 day period. All dates are assigned based on the customer's case number. In March, most SNAP benefits will be split into two EBT deposits to assist with adjustment to the new dates. Customers will receive half of their benefits on the current date, and the other half on the new date. In April, and each month after that, customers will receive their full benefits on the new date. Monthly deposit totals will not be affected because of this change. The schedule is changing to 28 days so grocery stores can spread out food inventory better during the month to help keep commonly purchased items available to their customers. The Florida Department of Children and Families determines eligibility for food assistance based on federal requirements. More details on the new SNAP dates are available online at
