Legislative Advocacy Initiative

On Thursday, November 12, the Human Services Coalition and Nonprofit Chamber of Palm Beach County will present the legislative Green Books containing our legislative priorities in the areas of health, disabilities, elder issues, children and youth, substance abuse/mental health and children and youth to our legislators. It is important that as many health and human services providers as possible attend so that our delegation can see the extent of our unity and consensus.

The priorities were set through a consensus process in which many of you submitted priorities and helped select two in each area of concern as the top priorities. The remainder of the priorities will also be included.

Our legislators take these books to Tallahassee and refer to them often, especially when you visit them or contact them regarding issues important to Palm Beach County providers and their clients.

The Legislative Advocacy Initiative

This is the sixth year for this project funded by Palm Healthcare Foundation, Allegany Franciscan Ministries, and Quantum Foundation. They recognize as we do the importance of health and human services having a voice in Tallahassee. It is crucial to the process that all of you attend the summit to hear from and talk with our legislators and their aides.

WHEN:  Thursday, November 12, 2015  10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

WHAT: 2015 Legislative Summit
