Free Behavioral Health Screening for Back to School

Back to school health exams for children are well underway at many area health clinics and pediatrician's offices. But is your child getting the most complete care possible? MHAPBC is working with 15 local doctor's offices to provide simple well-child screenings for depression and anxiety as part of the regular exams needed for back to school. One of the most significant predictors of problems in school is unidentified depression and anxiety and between 15 and 20% of children have these conditions and are undiagnosed. We are working with local pediatricians, community centers, and after-school programs to ensure that children get the complete health care - including a 'check-up from the neck up'!

If you are a parent, service provider, pediatrician or caregiver and would like to know more about this free mental health screening program, please contact us on our NEW Mental Health GPS Helpline -- 561.801.HELP (4357).
