Tomorrow's the big day, Please consider The Glades Initiative in Your Charitable Giving
On May 6th 2014 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59:59 p.m., The Glades Initiative, Inc. is participating in the GREAT GIVE, a 24-hour online giving event designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in the allotted time as part of a nation-wide program called Give Local America.
Tomorrow is the day to show your appreciation for the services of The Glades Initiative by donating through our dedicated link (below) the GREAT GIVE campaign supported by the United Way of Palm Beach County and the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Donations received on this day will be matched by several local funders.
Two Easy Ways You Can Make a Difference in the Glades on May 6

FREE RESUME WRITING WORKSHOP
The Glades Initiative, Inc. is offering a free 2-hour Resume Writing Workshop on May 20, 2014 from 4:00 - 6:00. Participants will learn six action steps to lay the groundwork for a great resume, writing your career objective, your job history, and summarizing your experience ~ all on one page. Mental Health Awareness Month
Do you have a child or teen who is struggling? in school, at home and with friends? Are you a parent or a teacher with concerns about a child's or student's behavior? 1 out of 12 children have a diagnosable mental illness. Mental illness are progressive disease. Early intervention and treatment can help prevent these treatable disease from progressing and help our children succeed in life. The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Palm Beach County invites you to NAMI's Parents & Teachers As Allies presentation during Mental Health Awareness Month to learn more about the possible waning signs of early onset mental illness in children and adolescents. This 2-hr. workshop is free of charge at the following Palm Beach County Libraries during the month of May.
