The special recipient this year is Steve Weeks. Among his notable accomplishments: he is a long-time Board member (16 years over two stints) serving in multiple officer roles; a local business owner (retired); a former City Councilman and Mayor of Belle Glade; and the go-to guy for many organizations that have served the Glades and its citizens, as a Board member or as just a caring friend and neighbor.  His quiet and unassuming manner coupled with his willingness to help where needed is probably best exemplified by his response when advised that he was this year's honoree ("Pick someone else....I don't need this"), and his reluctance to accept the award only resolved when he was reassured that it helped the Arc of the Glades. Join us in honoring Steve Weeks and his lifetime commitment of service to our Community and dedication to the people served by The Arc. Tickets $ 30.00 person
