Spring Registration for the Spring 2013 term begins Nov. 4, 2013.

Tutoring Resources Available for Students
  

As final exams approach remind your student about all of the tutoring resources available on campus. These include:

 

MAVPACK Care Packages Available for Purchase

Send your student a care package to show support during finals! MAVPACK care packages are $25 and includes a water bottle, mini First-Aid kit, sewing kit, picture frame, key chain, highlighter, pen and pencil, Maverick Resource card, microfiber cleaning cloth, maverick post-its, a personalized letter from the sender, and snacks.

 

If you have a graduating senior you can upgrade your MAVPACK care package. For $50, it will include all of the above as well as a one-year membership to the UTA Alumni Association and an Alumni t-shirt.

Fall FestivalThe Parent & Family Center wishes to thank the Division of Student Affairs for their support and making the Parent & Family Weekend a success. This program would not have been possible without everyone pitching in to provide assistance and support.
 

We hope to see all of you next year for Parent & Family Weekend tentatively scheduled Oct. the 24-26 2014.

We appreciate your willingness to partner with the University and value the support you provide to UT Arlington and your student.

 

As a reminder, benefits of your Parent & Family Association include discounts at over 100 local merchants, free Scantrons and blue books for your student, 10% off on apparel and gifts at the bookstore, and student scholarship opportunities. Starting this year, we will also have two monthly e-newsletters: one for parents of freshman students and one for parents of upperclassman students. By providing two newsletters, we can ensure you are receiving the most pertinent information for your student.

 

Again, we would like to thank you for your membership in the Maverick Parent & Family Association. Because of the increasing interest and participation in the Association, we will be able to offer our members even more in the future. Look for new benefits, involvement opportunities, and much more to come!

Homecoming

UT Arlington's Homecoming welcomes back alumni and current students to celebrate the men and women's athletic teams.

 

Many events showcase our diverse traditions here at UT Arlington, including the Paint your Ride, The Bash, Coronation of the Homecoming King and Queen, Maverick Step Show, Golf Cart Parade and more.

Anderson Cooper Maverick Speaker Series Rescheduled

The November 11 Maverick Speakers Series appearance of CNN anchor Anderson Cooper has been rescheduled for Monday, February 10, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held in the College Park Center at UT Arlington.

 

The November 11 event was postponed so that Cooper could travel to the Philippines and report on the massive destruction caused by Typhoon Haiyan.

 

Individuals who held general or preferred tickets to the November 11 lecture will have an opportunity to claim or buy tickets for the new date beginning January 14, 2014. Instructions to those individuals will be sent via e-mail. All remaining tickets will become available to the public on January 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at utatickets.com.
