BUSINESS ASSET
PROTECTION NEWSLETTER
October, 2013
Greetings!!

It is important to us that our clients are protected against any disaster, natural or otherwise. Our experience is that having adequate limits of insurance isn't always enough for a business to recover completely from a loss. Having a disaster plan in place is crucial for a business to recover without losing important customers or revenue.

This month's newsletter includes valuable information regarding disaster planning, several links to instructions for specific type disasters and a disaster planning mobile app you can download.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss any of these issues in greater detail. Please share this information with anyone you think may find it useful.

Thanks,

Joey Huckaby
Have You Done Your Homework?
Do You Have a Business Disaster Plan?

Iit's a good time for businesses to think about their readiness toDisaster Recovery  respond to emergencies. An important part of this preparation is planning for how to react and recover from natural and man-made disasters. These events can be large or small, and can come in the form of power outages, or storms like last year's Hurricane Sandy, burst pipes in a supply room, severe winter weather, a small internal fire or a flood.

This is particularly true for businesses, which may never recover if they do not plan for how they will react, recover and reopen after a disaster. In fact, research has shown that one in four businesses never re-open after a major disaster if they were forced to close.

When a disaster strikes, the first priority is personal safety. Finding suitable shelter to wait out a hurricane or take cover from a tornado is instinctive. But the time after the natural disaster or man-made catastrophe is over is a critical point in the process to get you back on track.
