Magic Of Santa Christmas Arts and Crafts Show

We recently became the promoters of Reno's longest running craft show! This is the 33rd year!  It will be the weekend after Tanners (Nov 30th and Dec. 1st) and will also be in the Events Center. It is a juried show and the items have to be hand-made or at least involve some hand work. Please contact me for more information on the requirements.  Click the link to the right to get more information and don't forget to sign up for the email list so we can keep you informed.

Kenny and Judy with Magic Glass Repair will be here to remove those pesky chips in your glassware.  Bring any chipped glassware in to get it fixed.

Nancy will be here with more of her beautiful Fused Glass jewelry:
Nancy's Custom Fused Glass
Sylvia will be here with her exceptional Sterling Silver. Find matching pieces for your set or buy a new service.
Stephanie Yellowman will be here from Arizona with fine Navajo pottery and jewelry.
Glenn Smith will be here with a large collection of fine antiques and collectibles.
Richard will be back with a booth full of nice vintage toys.
There are just to many dealers to list so please take a look at the list on the website:

Please spread the word through your Facebook pages and any other social media you use.
You can share the Craigslist event on your timeline!
http://reno.craigslist.org/eve/4024571812.html
Please place a Craigslist ad for some of your items and say they will be at the Tanners Marketplace show and list the address and times.
Please also print out some of the fliers listed below and place them in your local neighborhoods and at your workplaces.  Many grocery stores have bulletin boards where you can place them.
Anything you can think of that will help get the word out about the show will help.  Lets try and make this a viral thing so everyone knows that the Tanners Marketplace show is this upcoming weekend!

The Facebook Page is up and waiting for visitors!

The most current info and pictures will be there.  Please click the Like link so you get notifications when we post updates.  It also helps our ratings and to spread the word about the shows.

The TV show "The Old House Antique Showcase" will be filming several episodes again during the weekend.  The program will air every Sunday at 7:00 A.M. on the CW Network, channel 6 on Charter and ATT and channel 46 on Dish and Direct TV.

Also check out their new show "Auction Addicts" on the Fox networks (21) Sunday mornings at 8:30.   Its set mostly at Sammy B's auction in Sparks and is a lot of fun!

If you are thinking about being a vendor at the show and have questions please look at the website and give me a call or send me an email.

If you get 2 newsletter emails then you may be on more than one list.

Help Spread The Word!

If you would like to help advertise the show we have created a flier with tear off tabs that you can print out and post on local bulletin boards or at your office. Many grocery stores etc. have places to post local events and every little bit helps get the word out. The more people that come the better everyone's sales will be!

Please post a Craigslist Ad and put the Facebook link and webpage address in it.

It also helps to place ad's with photo's of some of the items you will have for sale at the show.  The more key words we get out there the more people will see the ads.

If it doesn't print in color you may have to save it locally and open it in adobe Reader.

We are open to any ideas that you have to let more collectors know about the show and get attendance up. On that note please click the Forward to a Friend link above and let anyone you think might be interested know about us.
Places to Stay:
A few people have asked if there are places to stay close to the events center.  The Events Center has RV spaces available (see the bottom of the show application page) and  there are several motels close by and the casinos are close too. Kayak.com lists some close by ones. You can narrow the search in the location box:
A friend of mine stays at the SandsRegency Hotel Casino when he visits. They usually have some good deals going. I did a quick check and found their deals page:
Once he visited the first time they keep sending him free nights tickets.
Motel 6 is about a block away:
Days Inn is just a little further:
Americas Best Travel Inn is right at the freeway exit too:
There is a 24 hour Denny's and a Carrows restaurant very close. (walking dist. from motels, right at the freeway exit)
Let's make this a fun forum to keep interest and excitement up for the shows!

Sincerely,

Burning Man has come and gone yet again.

As many of you know Paula and I made our first excursion to the Black Rock Desert this year
for this amazing world class event!
We met people from all over the globe and everyone was very friendly and nice.  During our week there we never heard an angry word or saw an unhappy person. The art and art-cars are beautiful and extremely creative! At night its just Magical!!! Everything is lit up - from all the camps and disco's to the artwork spread out across the playa. All the art cars cruising and even the bicycles and people walking have lights on them.

Burning Man has a bad rap as being a drug and sex event, nothing could be further from the truth - Sure if you go looking you could find both there but it's true soul is a free spirited love of art creativity and togetherness!
I highly recommend anyone with an open mind and fun filled spirit to go and experience it for yourself.
I know we will be going back.

Please feel free to talk to us about it, we'd love to share.
