Maybe you've thought of EBay or Craigs List but just don't want the hassle of shipping or having strangers come to your home.
For a minimal cost you can rent a booth at the show and have fun while the customers come to you specifically looking for what you have to sell.

MAY SPARKS SHOW

In co-operation with Scarlet La Rue Productions we will be hosting an Antiques and Collectibles show at The Sparks Legends Outlet Mall.

The "LEGENDS PEDDLERS FAIRE"

The space is a beautiful 28,000 square foot store that is vacant right now and they have made it available to us.  It was a Sak's Off Fifth Ave. store and the lighting is great.  This is one of the newest malls in town and it is beautiful.

Click here for the Sparks Show Vendor Information Page

To see the space in person please contact Debbie at 775-737-9940 to schedule an appointment.

The show will be three days in May  - Friday the 10th, Sat. the 11th and Sunday the 12th and setup can begin as early as Wednesday.

We will be open to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m..

Vendors will be free to setup on Friday or Saturday morning if they can't arrive early.  Also some of our vendors do the Sacramento show which will be on Sunday so they may break down on Saturday evening if they wish to go to Sacramento.

There will be load in and out help available and we will have fenced parking behind the store for your trailers etc.

This is a great opportunity to get your items in front of customers that usually don't attend the regular antique shows.  I'm sure we will get many new customers.

One of the mall stipulations is that it be antiques and collectibles vendors only as they don't want to conflict with an existing craft show.

10' deep by 15' wide $175
10' deep by 20' wide $200
10' deep by 5' wide $70
Special 600 sq. feet $300
This will be up to 20' by 30' of space arranged to suite you - within limits.
Comments are certainly welcome.

The TV show "The Old House Antique Showcase" will be filming at both shows.

The show airs Sunday mornings at 7:00 on either channel 6 or 46 depending on your carrier. If you have any comments or questions for the TV staff please contact Teri.

Help Spread The Word!

If you would like to help advertise the show we have created a flier with tear off tabs that you can print out and post on local bulletin boards or at your office. Many grocery stores etc. have places to post local events and every little bit helps get the word out. The more people that come the better everyone's sales will be!

Click Here for a Printable PDF file of a flier to post on local bulletin boards

If it doesn't print in color you may have to save it locally and open it in adobe Reader.

Click Here for a Printable PDF file of a flier to hand out for the April Show

There are 3 fliers on each page.

If you are unable to print them out please let me know and I can mail some to you.

I am making some advertising signs that are 18" x 24" that can be placed near a busy road the week before the show.  Let me know if you have a place where one can be put that will show well and not be illegal and I can see about getting it to you when they arrive.  They will have to be picked back up right after the show so they don't disappear.

  ---------------------------------------------------------

We are open to any ideas that you have to let more collectors know about the show and get attendance up. On that note please click the Forward to a Friend link above and let anyone you think might be interested know about us.
Places to Stay:
A few people have asked if there are places to stay.  There are several motels close by and the Western Village Casino is close too. Kayak.com lists some close by ones. You can narrow the search in the location box.:

Let's make this a fun forum to keep interest and excitement up for the shows!

Sincerely,

The Nevada State Flower:
Sagebrush

Nevada designated sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata) as the official state flower in 1917. Sagebrush bushes grow up to 12 feet tall (along rivers or other relatively wet areas - more typically it grows 3-6 feet in height) and produces small yellow and white flowers in the late summer or early fall.

Sagebrush (also called big sagebrush, common sagebrush, blue sagebrush, or black sagebrush) is a coarse, hardy ,silvery gray-green bush that grows in the desert southwest of the United States. It has a strong pungent fragrance, especially when wet. Native American Indians used the leaves of sagebrush for medicine and sagebrush bark for weaving mats.

The Roentgens' Berlin Secretary Cabinet

One of the finest achievements of European furniture making, this cabinet is the most important product from Abraham (1711-1793) and David Roentgen's (1743-1807) workshop. A writing cabinet crowned with a chiming clock, it features finely designed marquetry panels and elaborate mechanisms that allow for hidden doors and drawers to be opened automatically at the touch of a button. Owned by King Frederick William II, the Berlin cabinet is uniquely remarkable for its ornate decoration, mechanical complexity, and sheer size.
