Music Makes our Events Happy!

Music accompanies us everywhere we go. When we are in the car, enjoying a cup of coffee at the local bookstore, are put on hold during a phone call and even as we say "I do" - our life long relationship with music makes us happy and helps us evoke emotion.

Rail Events understands the importance of music at an event and encourages all of their partners to make music a key part of their event planning. Rail Events provides its partners with a music CD or mp3 download and specifies the playlist for the soundtrack onboard the train, at the train depot and at the activity areas.

Rail Events also promotes live musical entertainment at event sites and suggests that railroads have a selection of rhythm instruments for children to add extra fun and sweet memories. Music sets the mood, gets people excited, cheers on activities and games, and provides an additional activity that draws both children and adults...and makes guests happy!

Event venues employing recorded music of all types must honor copyrights and make sure their music is licensed. Please see article here for a nice summary on the topic of music licenses.

REI attends British Heritage Railway Association           Spring Meeting

Rail Events, Inc. team members, Jeff Johnson, Ethan Harper and Abi May, together with Kathleen Wallis from Warner Bros., recently attended the British Heritage Railway Association Spring Meeting in West Bromwich, England.  Association members were extremely accommodating; REI was provided the golden opportunity to present The Polar Express Train Ride™ to members of many heritage railways in the UK.  The team delivered a 30 minute presentation, including the movie trailer and REI's Polar Express promo video. The presentation was followed with a Q & A for over 100 HRA members, including Chairmen and Directors of railways in the United Kingdom. REI is delighted with the response, excitement and interest for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. A special thank you goes to HRA Chairman, David Morgan, for making REI's arrangements and introductions, and to officers Bill Hillier and Mark Smith for reaching out to the team with great assistance during the meeting.

Branson Scenic Railway:
An Abundance of Beauty and History

America's romance with the vintage passenger train lives on through excursions on the Branson Scenic Railway aboard a collection of unique passenger cars that travel through the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. Most of the journey is inaccessible to automobiles over the track of the Missouri and Northern Arkansas Railroad- the Mainline through the Ozarks. Departing from the historic 1905 depot in downtown Branson, the excursion trains go north or south, depending on the freight traffic on the line, determined by the dispatcher for each trip.

There is plenty to see through the broad windows of the three dome cars with their panoramic views, and visiting each car can occupy much of the excursion, since seating is open. The fabulous fall foliage season and Branson's entertainment array make the Branson Scenic Railroad a top destination. The Polar Express highlights the year at Branson with over 20,000 riders enjoying one of the top events in the country!
