Kaley Hanrahan '14 writes, " I will be attending UVA's MS in Data Science program this year! It is an 11-month program with a focus on Statistics, Math, and Computer Science, and a heavy emphasis on application. . . Since I'm heading off to graduate school, we will need to fill my position at the Casey Foundation once I leave. As much of my work in the Psychology department is what set me up to enjoy and make strong contributions to the work, and you are surrounded by students who need jobs soon, I thought you might know some people who would be interested! The full position description is [below in Job Opportunities section]. It is very much a quantitative/analytics focus within the social sector - managing the ongoing development of the leadership development unit's performance and data management system." Congratulations again & thanks, Kaley!

Position Summary
The Foundation seeks a program assistant with concentration in data systems management to help inform and advance its leadership development strategy, and specifically to manage the unit's data system. The Foundation provides a comprehensive portfolio of leadership development tools and programs to support leaders working to accelerate important child and family outcomes. This unique approach to leadership development is delivered primarily through multi-session programs that support participants in building their results-based leadership competencies. Responsible for the Leadership Development Data System, the program assistant will report to the director of Leadership Development and work with program staff and consultants on the management and iterative development of the system. This data system is a custom-built web-based application that serves two functions: a program database holding data for the Foundation's results-based leadership programs and a performance measurement system, aggregating and analyzing data across programs to inform our performance measurement. The system allows us to know the degree to which participants build their results-based leadership skills and apply them in the service of improving outcomes for the children, families and communities with which they work.
