Student Perspective on Conference Attendance

Hailey Cleek '15 writes, "At SSSP, I was very impressed to see the diversity in topics presented. I was intrigued to learn about intersections in social psychology and how they influence our perceptions of health, politics, and personality. Dr. Tanya Chartrand, the keynote speaker, presented an incredibly engaging lecture regarding extraversion and mimicry. I'm very thankful to Davidson for its funding and allowing me to travel for this conference, but I am especially thankful for Dr. Good's continued mentorship and guidance!"

Jeb Bush said during the Republican debates, "Universities ought to have skin in the game. When a student shows up, they ought to say, 'Hey, that psych major deal, that philosophy major thing, that's great, it's important to have liberal arts ... but realize, you're going to be working a Chick-fil-A.'"
