"The ACT has for the first time overtaken the SAT as the most popular college admissions exam by a margin of a few thousand students. So, how did this happen? Here's the explanation from Bob Schaeffer, public education director of FairTest, the National Center for Fair & Open Testing." Read the full article.
As Schaeffer points out, one reason for the increase is ACT's market strategy "as a replacement for (or supplement to) high school exit exams." Louisiana is the most recent state to require the ACT.

Show Us Your School Spirit
ZAPS presenters will travel to hundreds of high schools this fall to teach ACT, PSAT, and SAT seminars. Our first seminar of the season was at Davenport West HS in Iowa on August 25.

Angelica Vannatta, regional manager, took this snapshot of a student's creative expression of school spirit while teaching at the high school. If you would like to share a photo, email us at
