Cater Art Recognition
Join us in recognizing, local artist Daniel Cater for his artwork on display at the Dysart Building, located on the Courthouse Lawn. Also being recognized, the Sparta Revitalization Committee and the Alleghany Arts Guild for their contributions and hard work in restoring the building and landscaping the garden. The ceremony will begin at 5:30p this evening, September 27.  
 
Wine Tasting at Becca's Backwoods Bean
After the recognition ceremony, head across the street to Becca's Backwoods Bean Coffee Shop for the monthly wine tasting at 6p, September 27. Join friends and neighbors as they sample fruits of the vine. Every month, Becca always has new wines to taste and mouth-watering baked goods as well. There is a $5 charge for the wine sampling but the fellowship is FREE. 
 
Chair Caning at Studio Redwood
Michael Dees of Michael's Chair Caning Service,  in Galax, VA is returning to Studio Redwood, Inc., 16 S. Main, Sparta, NC to teach another wonderful Chair Caning Class! On October 5th, 9:30 a. until 2 p. to learn the Centered Diamond Pattern. Cost is $50 and supplies will be included. There are a few items i.e. scissors, that you will want to bring from home. Bring a chair with the damaged reeds removed. Please call 336.372.7111. Must pre-register. Class size limited to 6. 
 
Live music at Buckaroo's
Friday, September 27 beginning at 5:30p Don Moseley and Keith Nobblet will be entertaining live at Buckaroo's Grille and Saturday, September 28, Jest Country will perform beginning at 5:30. Bucakaroo's Grille is located in Piney Creek at the intersection of NC 93 and 113.
