New Member Spotlight: John Harmon Gallery
The John Harmon Gallery is a small art gallery in Roaring Gap, North Carolina, featuring photography and art from John and his friends. John is an eclectic artist whose work includes not only photography and framing, but also woodworking and pottery. One January, a fellow pulled up to John's gallery with a pickup load of barn wood that he wanted to sell for grocery money and since then weathered wood has been a part of John's art. Included are made-from-scratch barn wood frames, Adirondack chairs, benches and tables, all reflecting the rugged qualities of these Blue Ridge Mountains. Pottery is functional and the blue, brown and gray glazes reflect the surroundings.
