Excursion Magazine wants your promotional items
I was forwarded this email by an official from the state who said they were prohibited from participating in such an arrangement. I'm forwarding it to any and all attractions in the area who see this as a chance to get noticed: Next month my company will be launching a travel / adventure publication, Excursion Magazine, featuring destinations along America's Appalachian Mountains. As part of our magazine's promotion efforts, we are hoping to conduct several online contests, giving away items from many of our featured areas. I was hoping that your tourism organization might be interested in donating some of your promotional travel items (hats, shirts, backpacks, etc.) to our company to give away as a prize for one of our winners? Interested: email solutions@statelyties.com Check out their website at: excursionmagazine.com

Space for classes at Studio Redwood Chris Davis has moved Studio Redwood next door to the former location of Henry Thorne's antiques, 16 South Main St., to provide her with space for her art instruction classes. The front of the store will be a gallery for her art. It's a great new location and best of all, she has a new proprietor for her old location (more about that next week). Chris reminds her students that classes resume today and that she'll soon have a schedule for adult winter-spring classes. Drop in and say hi to Chris. Sign up for a class. You probably have more talent than you realize. 336-372-7111 |

Thank you SRC for Sparta Gold
This is a heartfelt thank you to the Sparta Revitalization Committee for sponsoring the Sparta Gold promotion in November and December. I know all the shoppers who found the Pot of Gold and walked away with Chamber gift certificates were pleased as were the merchants.
