Detroit Stories inspires Poster Project

Detroit Stories, the oral history project sponsored by Detroit Works Project Long Term Planning, has inspired a local Poster Project hosted by Detroit100series. Detroit100series looks to create 100 artistic projects based in the city of Detroit created by citizens of Detroit. The Poster Project encourages artists, students, community members and anyone with an idea, to find inspiration in the personal histories of the city.

This is an ongoing project that hopes to collect posters by March 31, 2013 for an exhibit in 2013. To get inspiration for your poster, check out the most recent Detroit Story on Brenda Carson found below.

Partner Spotlight: Luther Keith

For the next few weeks, Detroit Works Project Long Term Planning would like to highlight important partners to the project. This week we want you to meet LUTHER KEITH, a Detroit Works Project Long Term Planning Process Leader and MATF member, from ARISE! Detroit.

Luther believes that it is important for his organization to support the Detroit Works Project Long Term Planning because

"... collaboration of all stakeholders is important to make real change happen" and that it is crucial "... to give Detroiters hope for a better future for our city."
