PRESIDENT'S LETTER

We are now into 2016 with our calendars filling up, and Jim McDonald making choices affecting our lives and those of others around us. If IMCA is your only outside interest, you are lucky to have so many activities within this organization to attend. On the other hand, my belief is the majority of our members also belong to other groups making it difficult to decide what to do, and where to go. I find it helpful to mark my calendar with the various events, and circle those for which I have registered. Don't forget those doctors' visits.

A healthy organization is one that readily accepts new members, and integrates them into the group. Elections are coming up for board members. The chairmen of our various committees are also seeking assistance. A higher involvement in this club is simply the interaction we have with one another, and wishing to do more. By "helping out" with one of our various committees and/or activities we are indeed meeting more people and making new friends.

As stated in my last newsletter, and in accordance to our bylaws, our board receives suggested names by the Nominating Committee for approval at our February board meeting, and then presents the names to the members at the March luncheon for the election of officers. Our new board takes office in May.

Those who missed the first dine-out of the season are encouraged to contact Wayne Haupert for possible participation in the remaining dine-outs. Wayne has said that when we have more hosts, the groups will become smaller and more intimate. February and April are the dates of our final dine-outs. Those having restricted space or parking may elect to host a smaller group.

As a past luncheon director, and liaison with the Vineyards, I encourage everyone to register for the luncheons no later than a week in advance. If you notify us by mail, please account for the delivery time and our pick up. Exceptions can occur, if so, please contact our Luncheon Director, Karl Williams.

All of our flyers have a provision at the bottom to opt out of receiving the flyer. If you opt out, you end up not receiving any information from IMCA. This is an automatic procedure which only you can correct. Our Communications Director, Jerry Clair, can give you instructions to correct the situation.
