Following a Distinguished Career in
US Departments of Justice, Homeland Security and Treasury
Topic: "A LAW BASED CAREER FILLED WITH EXCITEMENT, DRAMA, EVEN FOREIGN INTRIGUE"
Professor Bonner is currently Professor of Law at Ave Maria School of Law. This followed a distinguished career at US Department of Justice in numerous locations including Moscow, Russia. In addition to Justice, he has worked in Departments of Homeland Security and Treasury.
Mr. Bonner graduated from Portsmouth Abbey School, received an AB Degree in History from Georgetown University, and a JD from Washington College of Law of the American University. He also studied in Tours, France and Fribourg, Switzerland, where he met his wife Beth. They have been married for 39 years.
After clerking for a US Senator in Washington DC, and for a Federal Judge in Manhattan, Mr. Bonner began a 29 year career in the US Department of Justice including the Criminal Division, Assistant US Attorney in California, and Assistant US Attorney in US Virgin Islands. He later served in the Terrorism and Violent Crime Section of the Criminal Division in Washington DC, and served for two years as Resident Legal Advisor at the US Embassy in Moscow.
In 2000, he was appointed Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff to the Undersecretary of the Treasury for Enforcement. He was a delegate to the US-China Joint Economic Committee in Beijing. When the Department of Homeland Security was created, Mr. Bonner became a Senior Advisor in charge of DHS's part in the work of the G8 nations.
In 2008, he left Public Service to become a Professor of Law at the new Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, MI. He moved with the school to Naples, Florida in the summer of 2009.
Prof Bonner has received numerous awards from the Justice Department, Department of Homeland Security, FBI and CIA for outstanding work. He was also named Honorary Member, of the Russian Legal Academy.

The luncheon starts at 12 Noon.
Coffee, ice tea and lemonade are available prior to the luncheon.

Chef's Fresh White Fish with Chef's Starch and Chef's Fresh Vegetable. Dessert is Pecan Ball with Hot Fudge Sundae.
The alternative entree is a Chicken Salad Plate or a Roasted Vegetable Plate. Rolls, coffee, iced tea, lemonade and fountain soda are included.
