TOPIC: "THE FUTURE OF MEDICINE"
Dr. Allen Weiss was appointed President and CEO of NCH  Healthcare System, a 715-bed, two hospital intergraded healthcare system, affiliated with the Mayo Clinic, in September of 2006.
His accomplishments are identified in the awards and recognition that NCH has received during his tenure. HealthGrades has ranked NCH in the top five percent for quality and safety for six years. It also named the hospital system number one in Florida for Cardiology and Cardiac Care twice. US News & World Report recognized NCH as one of the top Regional Hospitals in South Florida.
As a practicing physician for 23 years prior to joining NCH, Dr. Weiss knows the importance of delivering highest quality healthcare to patients, their families and the community overall. NCH is a very important pillar to the Naples community. At NCH, Dr. Weiss's interest lie in developing three core competencies throughout healthcare network: demonstrated quality, operational efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.
He has testified as an expert before the U.S. Congress, Ways and Means Committee-Health Subsection. Personally, he has been awarded the Distinguished Executive by the Women's Bar Association of Florida, and Gulf Shore Life magazine recognized him as one of its Men and Women of the Year.
Dr. Weiss received his medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. His practice was in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, and Geriatrics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Weiss writes a weekly newsletter "Straight Talk" in addition to "Health Advice by Dr. Weiss," a monthly health related column. He and NCH promote the 'Blue Zones Project, a community-wide well-being improvement initiative that helps make healthy choices easier for everyone in Southwest Florida.
Dr. Weiss will provide fascinating and important insights to where medicine is headed in the years ahead. This is knowledge that we all will benefit from !

Check-in and hospitality hour for the luncheon begins at 11:15 a.m.
The luncheon starts at 12 Noon.
Coffee, ice tea and lemonade are available prior to the luncheon.

Menu:
Homemade Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Chef's Fresh Vegetables. Dessert is Bread Pudding.
The alternative entree is a Chicken Salad Plate or a Roasted Vegetable Plate. Rolls, coffee, iced tea, lemonade and fountain soda are included.
Spouses and guests are welcome.
