PRESIDENT'S LETTER

November is here marking the launch of the holiday season with so many social and holiday events this month and others just around the corner. For many this is the best time of year for family dinners, visits with friends, that quiet conversation over a refreshment, and of course a time to offer thanks for all things with which we have been blessed.

And too, so it is with the IMCA. As you will see in the left column of this newsletter, our many popular IMCA events once again are on the agenda. Included are the Book Club, Tuesday Club, and a Nature Club excursion. A favorite event is the Welcome Back Cocktails and Conversation event on November 12. I hope you will join me, and so many others of our membership, for a lovely evening of fine hors d'oeuvers, a carving station, relaxation and, of course, conversation. Oh, and don't forget to sign-up for our annual Dinner/Dance Gala Dec. 3, and as a host or participant for the 2015 Dine-Out events beginning in January.

Our October speaker was Ms. Jade Wu, author, attorney, keynote speaker and former rule of law advisor, presenting "Working in War Zones and More: The Practicalities and Surprises." She shared a number of personal experiences as a civilian from conflict areas, the often overlooked feminine issues plus U.S. policy implications.

At our November 10 luncheon our speaker, Mr. Tarik Ayasun, will be making a return engagement and presenting "ISIS/IS Whirlwind Conquests: Implications to the US and the West."  If you have not attended one of Mr. Ayasun's presentations I urge you to do so and be delighted with his knowledge and expertise.

Our annual printed Membership Directory, and Speaker and Event Schedule was mailed to everyone. Unfortunately there were some errors within. My apologies for any confusion the errors caused.  A new printing was prepared and mailed. You will also find the most up-to-date Directory on our website Members Only page at www.imcofa.com

After five-years as our website administrator, Heide Gordon is retiring from that position. From the entire membership we extend a hearty "Thank You" Heide for your extraordinary and exemplary efforts designing, launching, improving and maintaining our website. Well done!

Mr. Marcos Rodriguez, CEO of http://webnettingsolutions.com/  will assume the role as website administrator. Welcome aboard Marcos.

Joe Striegel, IMCA Communications Director, is on a health related leave of absence. Please keep him in your thoughts.

And finally, I would like to recognize two of our long-time, and founding, members; Mr. Hasan Hammami (1993), and Dr. David C. Stark (1993). Thank you for your long and dedicated service to and membership with the IMCA.
