Mr. Lewis Booth was named the Ford Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2008. He had overall responsibility for the company's financial operations, including the Controller's Office, Treasury and Investor Relations.
His previous positions with Ford included, Executive VP for Ford Europe, Chairman of Ford Europe and Volvo Car Corporation, and responsibile for the European Premier Automotive Group from 2005. From 2000 to 2005 Mr. Booth held the various positions as; Chairman and CEO, Ford of Europe; President of Mazda Motor Corporation based in Hiroshima, Japan; President, Asia Pacific and Africa Operations; and, Group Managing Director of the South Africa Motor Corporation (SAMCOR). Lewis has held other positions around the world.
In addition to his leadership at Ford, Booth serves as a non-executive director of Rolls-Royce Holdings plc. (powersystems).
Born in Liverpool, England, the son of a Ford, Austin and Morris dealer, Booth has the car business in his blood and makes no apologies for his passion for cars and the auto business.
After completing his bachelor of engineering degree with honors in mechanical engineering at Liverpool University, he started his career at British Leyland before joining Ford in 1978 as a financial analyst in Product Development for Ford of Europe.
Since retirement in April 2012, Mr. Booth has joined the Board of Mondelez International (fomerly Kraft) and also of Gentherm, a MI based automotive components company.
He is a qualified chartered management accountant. He and his wife have two children.
