 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

"Many people live under the illusion that they have none."

Hubert Ries

Greetings!
PRESIDENT'S LETTER

Tempus fugit!   Time flies, here we are two-thirds of our Main season programs behind us and two more coming up.

We just finished an outstanding luncheon with Powell Moore, the former Assistant Secretary of State and of Defense speaking to us on the US Government - "A New Beginning Every Four Years".  Having been intimately involved in several presidential transitions since 1968 provided Mr. Moore with the unique insights and experiences to present an insider view of the intricate details involved in these "New Beginnings".  An outstanding presentation enjoyed by the 120 attendees with a lively Q&A following.

The next two luncheons will be equally as exciting and interesting.

On March 11, the German Consul General, Eva Maria, Countess Kendeffy, will be speaking to us on "Germany - and Its Role in the EU".  She will be followed on April 8 by Tom Monaghan, Founder of Dominos Pizza speaking on "From Rags, To Riches, To Rags" which is also the name of his book and a very interesting topic.

Please mark your calendar so you will not miss these outstanding presentations.

On March 22 we will be officially celebrating our 20th Anniversary with a gala Cocktail and Conversation Anniversary Reception at the Vineyards C C, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.   We have much to celebrate as we have been "Building Bridges of Friendship" for twenty years and by doing so we have proven that spreading friendship, camaraderie and connectedness has not and will never be a "Bridge too Far".

Please join us for this wonderful event, stroll down memory lane with us, and meet some of the charter members and "old timers" for a jolly good and deserved celebration.

I want to thank all of you who have answered our Membership Survey, which is being tabulated and analyzed. We will provide you with a complete feedback including action items in our next newsletter.  Enhancing your membership experience is our number one goal and your Board is committed to it.

Please check our website for all the other upcoming events.  We are gratified by the increase in attendance at our monthly Stammtisch and the many other social, educational, cultural and nature events and continue to encourage you to partake in as many as you can.
