It seems we have taken down last year's tinsel and mistletoe barely in time for this year's holly. But on reflection it adds up to a full, busy and exciting year for our International Men's Club of America.
If the Holiday Season is a time for rejoicing, certainly it is a time also to pause and reflect, and as we pause in sober contemplation of the millions of people in other lands who cannot have happiness this holiday season, we are grateful for living in a society where happiness and prosperity can still prevail.
Our mission of Building Bridges of Friendship takes on a different perspective when viewed in this light.
We kicked off our 20th Season with a very successful Welcome Back - Cocktail & Conversation Reception at the Vineyards Country Club on Friday November 9, with 96 members and their spouses enjoying excellent conversation, camaraderie, and of course, great cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
We are looking forward to our next major social event, our Annual Dinner Dance Gala on December 7, and I hope to be able to welcome many of you to this stellar event. Seating is limited so please return your response card, which you received in our formal invitation to you, as early as possible.
Our monthly luncheon programs are off to a great start with Ambassador Francis Rooney enlightening us about the Vatican and its geopolitical influence at our November 12th Luncheon. A record 110 members, guests and spouses, enjoyed a fascinating presentation on the US diplomatic relationship with the Pope.
Please consult our website www.imcofa.com for the many cultural, educational, social and nature events we have planned for you and make good use of them.
On behalf of our Board of Directors I would like to extend to you and your loved ones best wishes for a blessed and safe Holiday Season.
