H. Clayton "Clay" Chandler

We mourn the passing of our former member H. Clayton "Clay" Chandler, 86, of Naples. Clay passed away on October 7, 2012. His survivors include Marilyn, his beloved wife of 60 years, several daughters and grandchildren, and a host of good friends and extended family members. Born in Fresno, CA to Clayton Isaac Chandler and Emily Pomeroy Chandler, Clay learned the values of patience, hard work, and keeping a positive attitude. He lived those values every day of his life. Clay served in WWII in the Army Air Corps. He graduated from Stanford University and earning his CPA, he began his lifelong career with Deloitte Touche.Clay and Marilyn also resided in Washington D.C., Omaha, NE and Naples, Florida. Clay is remembered by friends and admirers for his sparkling sense of humor, his courtly ways, and his unceasing love for his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He lived a life filled with fun, love, and gratitude for his many blessings. Donations in Clay's memory can be made to The Neighborhood Health Clinic, 121 Goodlette Road North, Naples FL 34102 or the Avow Hospice Endowment Fund, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
