CONSUL GENERAL OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY
"GERMANY AND ITS ROLE IN THE EUROPEAN UNION"
 Countess Kendeffy will share detailed insights regarding the crucial role of Germany within the EU: political issues, the art of diplomacy and more. Countess Kendeffy will offer a detailed review of the purpose and function of the Federal Republic of Germany's Consul General in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She will provide commentary on Germany's foreign policy and cornerstone partnerships, economic and investment goals of German companies, cultural promotions and traditions, consular services, as well as insights on topical events.
Countess Kendeffy's sterling career has been filled with a number of positions including; First Secretary for Press and Cultural Affairs, German Embassy, Costa Rica; Political Counselor, German Embassy, Washington D.C.; Deputy Head of the Berlin Branch of the Federal Foreign Office with the responsibility for the relocation of the Foreign office from Bonn to Berlin following reunification; Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Dominican Republic; and Head of Protocol Department, State and Official Visits of the Federal Foreign Office, Berlin, Germany. Since 2010 she has been Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany based in Miami, and Germany's representative to both the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Check-in and hospitality hour for the luncheon begins at 11:15 a.m. The luncheon starts at 12:00 Noon. Coffee and ice tea stations are available prior to the luncheon. Cash Bar is also available.
Menu:
Braised Pork Chop with Sauerkraut and Apples accompanied by a fresh vegetable. Dessert is Strawberry Shortcake. The alternative entree is a Vegetable Plate or a Fruit Plate. Rolls, coffee, iced tea, lemonade and fountain soda are included.
Spouses and guests are welcome.
