Jack Tymann July 2012      In 2008, the top international issue in the presidental debates dealt with Iran and preserving stability in the Middle East. Now in 2012, has the so-called Arab Spring deteriorated into an Islamic winter?

     J.T. (Jack) Tymann, retired as President of Westinghouse International after a 37-year career. In this role he led business development and government relations in 75 nations, including most Muslim countries. He was President of Westinghouse-Iran before and during the Iranian Islamic Revolution, resident with his family in Teheran. He founded and chaired Westinghouse companies in Morocco, Egypt, Jordan Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. From 1993 - 2001 he co-chaired the Clinton-Mubarak Presidents' Council for the Middle East, seeking foundations of sustainable peace through private sector collaboration. Tymann today serves on the board of AMIDEAST, a Washington-based nonprofit that promotes mutual understanding between Americans and the Arab world through educational exchange. Mr. Tymann has also served on the BoDs of numerous corporations related to the Middle East.
In 2008 Mr. Tymann co-founded and became Chairman of First Florida Biofules, LLC, renamed SEP World in 2010. (Sustainable Energy Partnerships) focuses onstrategic partnerships between hi-tech sustainable energy companies and industrial partners, customers, government agencies, and investors. Jack also co-founded and is Managing Director of Naples Strategic Investment Partners, LLC.
 
     Mr. Tymann holds a BSEE from Manhattan College, is a registered professional engineer, and has completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He has also completed international studies at the Brookings Institue and at INSEAD in France.
 
Check-in and hospitality hour for the luncheon begins at 11:15 a.m. The luncheon starts at 12 Noon. Coffee and ice tea stations are available prior to the luncheon. Cash Bar is also available. 
 
Menu: 
         

Homemade meatloaf with mashed potatoes, chef's fresh vegetable and gravy.  Dessert is chef's choice ice cream.

The alternative entree is a Vegetable Plate or a Fruit Plate. Rolls, coffee, iced tea, lemonade and fountain soda are included.  

 

Spouses and guests are welcome.
