Greetings!

It was a huge success!

It was a really fun and elegant weekend on Florida’s Amelia Island. We had over 30 models from several States, Germany and Mexico participate in the Large Scale Concours d'Elegance at Amelia Island. Needless to say, the competition for Awards was extremely close owing to the high quality of all the entries! The judges did an outstanding job with a truly difficult assignment.

Also present were several professional modelers that brought some very fine cars to add to display with the outstanding group of examples that were judged. As you will see in the gallery of photos from the Saturday display in the Ritz Carlton and Sunday show, there were some truly outstanding models in attendance. We are pleased to be shoulder to shoulder with the nearly 300 vintage automobiles that were at Amelia that weekend.

The winners of the awards presented that day were:
Best in Show - Louis Chenot with his fantastic 1932 SJ Dusenberg
People's Choice - Louis Chenot
Modelers' Choice - Richard Beggs with his beautifully built Watson Special Indy racer

Our thanks to the judges: Jason Wenig from The Creative Workshop; David Cox from Detailed Model Cars; and Jeff Brodus from Heacock Insurance.

We believe everyone was a winner that weekend! The amount of time and care spent building these models is a testimony and inspiration to all younger modelers whether beginners or advanced.

And, we raised $1600.00 for Community Hospice of NE Florida!
