Greetings!
2012 was a banner year for SeaSquared, and we have only you to thank for it!
We hit a lot of milestones in 2012, including doing our most trips of any year at over 300. We increased both our return and referral business along with the number of terrific reviews for us on TripAdvisor.
It was a year of heightened media coverage as well. In September, we filmed with the legendary George Poveromo for his World of Saltwater Fishing, which airs on NBC Sports. You can see our show beginning on February 20.
In November, we expanded our working relationship with Clear Channel Communications, a global media and entertainment company. Our weekly radio show, Fish Bites Happy Hour broadcasts live from Porky's Bayside Restaurant every Wednesday from 6 to 7 pm. It can be heard locally on Thunder Country 100.3 FM and on the Internet on iHeartRadio.
In December, we made a long-overdue move, and the SeaSquared is now docked at Captain Pip's Marina and Hideaway, not coincidentally also the home of Porky's! In one brief month, we have been overwhelmed by the support we've received and professionalism of the owners, Barbara and Johnny, as well as the entire staff.
Finally, just last week we upgraded our motors to brand new Yamaha 250 HP four-strokes. Our old motors, purchased in 2007, had nearly 3,000 hours and were quite literally on their last legs. As a member of the Yamaha National Fishing Team, we enjoyed preferential service, and the good folks at Marathon Boat Yard and Marine Center did an awesome job of swapping the motors in just one day.
So, we look forward to a fabulous 2013 with more new things to come. And, we hope you'll join us on the adventure!
