Middle Market (100+): iTriage App Enhances Cost Transparency and Teladoc Features

iTriage has added a new Cost Transparency tool that leverages Aetna's award winning Member Payment Estimator. The feature allows members to view cost estimates for physician office visits, surgical procedures, maternity, and diagnostic tests and procedures.

The iTriage app will also connect members to a physician via phone or videoconference for a convenient and cost-effective, non-emergency care option.

Free Look Period Gives Individuals Time to Examine Their Policies

As required by law, individual policy holders have a certain amount of time, or a free look period, to examine their policy, make certain changes without penalty, or return the policy for a refund.

For Off-Exchange Plans
Members that are newly enrolled in an ACA plan will have a 30 days from the time they receive their booklet to request a plan change or a premium refund (less any claims paid).

For On-Exchange Plans
Members will continue to have 10 days from the date the policy is issued to make changes. Members should contact the Exchange to make any changes or cancel their policy.

Important: Members may not switch from an off-Exchange plan to an on-Exchange plan (or vice versa) during their free look period.

Please read the Anthem Producer Online News for more information.
Required Employer Size Certification Forms for New Groups Quoted in 51-100 Segment

Anthem will require the following two forms to be completed by any new group being quoted in the 51 to 100 rated segment:

The forms will be used to get a more accurate record of how many total employees the group has, rather than just how many are enrolled in the health care plan.

Commission Information - Selling Health Plans on the DC Health Link

Since the small groups that migrated for 2015 are to be considered part of the DC Exchange, all brokers doing business in DC need to be certified with the DC Health Link to receive commission for their 2-50 groups.

CareFirst is currently holding commissions for several renewing groups until brokers submit the necessary Exchange certification.

Impacted brokers will receive retroactive commissions once the necessary certification is received and updated in the system.

Please send a copy of your DC Exchange certification to Linda Perkins at IMC by email or fax: [email protected] or 301-685-6428

Please read the Sales Flash for more information.
