New Indexed PCORI Fees Issued
 
Patient-Centered Outcome Research Institute (PCORI) had a fee of  $2 for plan years ending on or after October 1, 2013 and before October 1, 2014. 

The new fee for plan years ending on or after October 1, 2014 and before October 1, 2015, is $2.08.
NAHU Washington Update   

How Agent Information will be Handled During Open Enrollment 
 
Will this year be easier for brokers and agents? The Administration thinks so. Here's the plan:

- National Producer Numbers (NPNs) from last year will remain attached to automatic FFM renewals

- NPNs should populate with a FFM renewal whether the enrollees make changes on their own or with the assistance of their broker.

- It's rumored that an NPN can be added later in the FFM enrollment process

Time Sensitive: Medicare Part D Creditable Coverage Guidance Update
 
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires annual disclosure of the status of drug benefits and creditable coverage to Medicare Part D eligible individuals. 

CareFirst will notify 200+ groups regarding the status of their current drug product(s) in comparison with the new standard Medicare Prescription drug plan. 

IMPORTANT: CareFirst will not notify 2-199 groups of their current drug status. Please use the charts linked below to provide your clients with their status.

Reminder Letter Sent to BlueFund HSA Groups about the BenefitWallet� Transition
 
During the week of October 13, approximately 4,850 BlueFund HSA groups will receive a letter from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst). 

If your clients do not receive the transition letter, then please have them call BenefitWallet's Employer Support Team at 866-712-4551.
