Attention Individual Brokers - FFM Documents Required for Commission Payment
Agents and brokers who are contracted to sell Aetna Individual in Virginia are required to submit a copy of their 2015 FFM certificate and the completed Aetna FFM Certification Form.
IMPORTANT: Aetna will not pay commission for policies sold prior to the receipt of the required FFM documents.

UPDATE: Parker's Lane Emergency Physicians Termination
Parker's Lane Emergency Physicians has rescinded its termination and is working with Anthem on a new long-term agreement. During negotiations, the group remained in the network and there was no disruption of network access or in-network benefits.

Confirm Your FFM Certification via Producer Toolbox
If you're completing certification for the first time (or you made a change to your FFM identifier), enter your 2015 certification information in the Anthem Producer Toolbox in two easy steps:
1. Enter your state exchange certification number or the FFM User ID assigned to you.
2. Confirm that you have been certified for 2015.

IMPORTANT: New Permitted Election Changes for Cafeteria Plans
The IRS has released Notice 2014-55 containing two additional permitted change rules for health coverage under Internal Revenue Code Section 125 cafeteria plans.
These permitted election change rules allow employees to revoke their elections to the group health insurance premium and seek coverage elsewhere under certain conditions, but does not include election changes to the health FSA portion of the plan.

Composite Premium Rates For Small Group Plans
For small group plans with an effective date on or after December 1, 2014, Kaiser will offer composite premium rates in Maryland and Virginia, based on a four-tier structure.
Composite premium rates can be applied to both new business and small group renewals, with 1-50 eligible employees, for non-grandfathered plans purchased directly though Kaiser.

Important IRS Guidance Updates
In addition to released guidance that allows employers the option to amend their plan documents to include two additional Section 125 qualifying events. The guidance provides a positive opportunity for you to reach out to your group clients!
But that's not all! The IRS has also issued guidance for:
- New dollar amounts for calculating the PCORI fee
- Final regulations for Tax Deduction Limit for Health Insurers on Executive Compensation
- New draft filing instructions for the premium tax credit
- IRS Form 8965, which covers exemptions from the individual mandate
