   It wasn't called a FLIP loom (by Schacht) then, but boy did she "flip" out over it!

     Jodi's the kind of young woman who took it home and dived right into learning to weave!  There weren't the vast resources we now have (DVD's, Youtube, e-books and hardbacks) but she was determined to learn to weave her own cloth.

    Pretty soon, she proudly presented me with her first handwoven Cotton Clouds towel, one that I still cherish to this day. 

    Over the years, she has absorbed  Liz Gipson's books & DVD's (Weaving Made Easy, Slots & Holes, Beyond Warping), The Weaver's Idea Book and Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom DVD by Jane Patrick and the classic, Hands on Rigid Heddle Weaving by Betty Davenport. She's kept in touch with many of our rigid heddle weavers through email,  on Facebook and Ravelry and has learned to know what they love to weave.  

Then one day about a year ago Jodi came to me with her own idea.  She thought it would be fun to design twelve  different towels on her rigid heddle loom using Cotton Clouds yarns and create a "Year of Towels" Kit-of-the-Month Club.
