Cloud Talk

Irene Schmoller Shadow Weave Shawl

Did you know that Cotton Clouds has been the primary US manufacturer of these  all-cotton loops for over 25 years? We source 100% recycled cotton yarns, made from  waste fabric from the clothing industry  that is shredded and re-spun into yarn and knit on old (1960's) refurbished pantyhose knitting machines.

Click Here to watch our video of how these cotton  loopers are made.

Click Here to watch a fascinating video on how our recycle yarn is made from waste fabrics. American Textile and our yarn source Giotex combined forces to keep over 3.5 million pounds of fabric a year out of landfills!

These are the 21st Century's answer to those colorful potholders you made as a child!  I bet you have fond memories of hours and hours of mindlessly weaving the loops under- over, under-over with the satisfaction of actually completing a project.
Little did we know then that the "weaving bug" was being planted in our psyches for a future life of weaving!  I'm sure we are all grateful for whoever it was that bought our first potholder loom.
Now it is our opportunity to pass the joy of weaving  on to future generations.  Whether you  have children, grandchildren or just young friends or neighbors, the potholder loom is the perfect introduction into the world of weaving.  Kids love to weave! We now have Potholder Loom kits for kids as well as  two and four harness loom projects for adults.

The top-quality cotton loops you'll find in these Harrisville Designs PotHolder kits are made by us in this same factory.  Each kit comes with an exclusively designed metal loom, weaving hook and step-by-step instructions to make either potholders or a cute purse.  Potholders can also be sewn together to make placemats or rugs.
Children love to express their creativity with colorful cotton loopers! And so will you! Check out our new Cotton Loop Rug and Cotton Loop Placemat Kits! It's a quick and easy way to play--once again--with loops from your childhood memories! And help to make them for your children and grandchildren too!
