  I'm hearing it all over Ravelry, on Facebook and from the major loom manufacturers and weaving publishers.

  What BZZZ you might ask.

  The BZZZZ is all about rigid heddle weaving! It's the simplest, easiest and most rewarding way for you to turn your passion for yarns into woven cloth.  

    Woven cloth is quite different from knit or crochet fabrics because of the simple "under/over" manipulations of the yarns, giving you a flatter, denser fabric that is ideal for towels, table settings, curtains, baby blankets and lots of kinds of wearables including scarves, shawls, vests and tops! I haven't seen woven socks  yet, but I'm sure someone will come up with those as well!

    If you've always dreamed of learning to weave, a rigid heddle loom is the perfect starter loom. It's affordable, portable, uncomplicated and versatile.

      You can weave everything from bulky to sport and worsted yarns and as you become more proficient you can move on to finer yarns. You can even use-up (well, never totally "use-up" because you keep buying more, right?) odds and end yarns in multi-texture, multi-color projects.

     The rigid heddle loom has come a long way since I first learned to weave back in 1979!  It's been redesigned, improved and evolved into a nifty little tool that will turn todays exciting yarns into contemporary fabrics.
