Citizens of Fort St John and surrounding areas have been attending this community event for over 20 years.  The event brings together community groups, organizations, clubs and sport groups to one central location.  By bringing everyone interested together, the community can then access every opportunity at one time and in one place.  Group information, registration and schedules are given to interested persons, and many people will register the whole family for the upcoming season of activities.

Community One Stop provides a space for organizations to set up a booth, display their information and speak with interested people. Every spring and fall a "One Stop" is held to host the upcoming activities in the region for the community to see, register and join. There is something for everyone from literacy, dance, sports, health and wellness, art, martial arts, music and more!

We want to hear from youth ages 12 - 18!

The Youth Advisory Council of Fort St. John was developed in 2010 as a potential solution toward antisocial behavior in our community, to get a better sense of what Fort St. John's youth would like to see in Fort St. John, and to act as a liaison between the youth of the community and City Council.

It is the vision of the committee to provide a link between the youth of Fort St. John and City Council.

The Fort St. John Youth Advisory Council will enhance the quality of life of youth by providing information, resources, and leadership to both their peers and City Council, while creating positive alternative activities for young people to participate in.

What do youth in FSJ want? What would be the ultimate event? Bring your ideas to our YAC meetings and help us create better events/workshops/programs for youth in FSJ.

Meetings take place on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 4:30pm - 5:30pm at City Hall.

Contact Lisa for more information at 250-787-5791.
