The Lifesaving Society Head Lifeguard course is designed as entry level training for lifeguards that are or will be responsible for the front line supervision of deck staff. As a result of the Head Lifeguard course, participants will develop an understanding of:
* The roles and responsibilities of a Head Lifeguard
* Staff supervision, deck management and effective communication
* Staff training and development and implementation of Emergency Procedures
* Managing risk, facility safety and implementation of safety systems
* Planning and organization
* Record keeping and documentation
The Head Lifeguard certification requires full attendance, participation and an understanding of the skills and knowledge required by a Head Lifeguard. PREREQUISITES: Current NLS Pool, Option, 2 years lifeguarding experience, Current LSI
(recommended).
