Yes indeed, my friends...it is that time of year!

If you've never leaped before, this very well may be your year.

Leap with Passion into 2015!!!
features 5 in-person workshops (NYC, Chicago, Alabama & Maine) and 1 live/online workshop -- so no matter where you are, you too can
LEAP!

In other Art & Soul news, the Book Club for Actors will meet one more time this year before we go on holiday break - details are below.

And if you're looking for Acting Classes that ground your technique and inspire your soul, see below for what we have to offer in 2015.

Wishing you sparklingly marvelous holidays!

Rhonda

PS I spent a wonderful Thanksgiving in the Philadelphia area. One highlight was visiting the Lansdowne Theater -- the last turn-of-the-century theater of its kind in that area. I'm so happy to say that this gem will be getting a full restoration back to its former glory!

What's Up with the Book Club for Actors?

Remaining reading time: 1.5 weeks

On Saturday, December 13 & Monday, December 15 we will be discussing the book Cleaning Augean Stables by Leon Katz.

The Book Club for Actors is offered twice; please choose either meeting:

WHEN: Saturday, December 13, 3-5 - East Village

                 OR

                 Monday, December 15, 7-9 - East Village

WHERE: Location will be e-mailed with RSVP confirmation.

WHAT:

For the next Book Club for Actors we take a bit of a scenic detour through the world of play analysis:

Cleaning Augean Stables: Examining Dramas Strategies by Leon Katz

Leon Katz - now in his 90s - is an Emeritus Professor of Drama at Yale University and the University of North Carolina. His students have long-awaited (and had perhaps even given up hope) that he would put his much revered teachings into writing.

Susan Jonas in American Theatre magazine has called Mr. Katz's Cleaning Augean Stables "indispensable for anyone seriously interested in the art of the play."

That's us! After countless hours of compelling conversation over The Book Club for Actor's 25 playwrights, it's time to add even more understanding and depth to our play reading vocabulary.

Please join us in reading Leon Katz's Cleaning Augean Stables. Order it from your favorite bookstore or find it online, but get reading sooner rather than later as there will be a lot to digest in this wondrous missive that is a lifetime of knowledge shared by a well-loved master teacher.

Summer Acting Intensive for Teens
Art & Soul Acting travels! The Summer Acting Intensive for Teens is a one-of-a-kind traveling professional acting workshop. Teens spend a week training like the pros!

Created in 2011-but dreamed about for a long time-the aim of this workshop is to bring acting training to teens who might not otherwise have the opportunity to study professionally.

Working with Rhonda Musak is such a privilege. She is so supportive, outgoing and fun--I was thoroughly impressed. My confidence and ability as an actor has grown so much!
~ Naomi, age 15 ~

Summer 2014 workshops have been completed and our sights are set on 2015. Stay tuned....

Leap with Passion Workshop.

Leap with Passion into 2015!!!
Do you get near the end of the year wishing you had the time to slow down and take stock of your life in order to make changes that stick for the New Year? And then in a blur of the holiday rush, the next thing you know...it's February.

That's exactly why the Leap with Passion Workshop was created!

This really works!!!
~ Amy Buss ~

In this 5-hour workshop, participants will have the opportunity to:
  • Powerfully complete the past year and joyfully celebrate its greatest accomplishments.
  • Turn the challenges of past year into fuel for the next.
  • Learn an amazing goal-setting technique that is the difference that makes the difference in terms of "sticking to it."
  • Design 3 life changing, personal focuses for the year ahead that are achievable and really inspire.
  • Discover who they need to be and they actions they need to take in order to succeed in accomplishing their 3 focuses.
  • Express and joyfully celebrate life.
Rhonda's Leap workshop is fabulous! It allowed me to look at many of my goals and focus on one at a time, rather then lose focus on one in the process of moving on to another.
~ H. Alan Scott

Leap with Passion into 2015 will be offered 6 times:
  • Saturday, December 27, 2014 - Chicago
  • New Year's Eve/Day - Sylacauga, AL
  • Saturday, January 3, 2015 - NYC
  • Saturday, January 10, 2015 - Online Live
  • Sunday, January 11, 2015 - NYC
  • Saturday, January 17, 2015 - Portland, ME
FEE: $95...space is limited

I'm so glad I attended Rhonda's workshop. I've never before felt so sure that my new year's resolutions are totally possible and will unquestionably be integrated into my life in the new year. I am amazed at how much I've already forged ahead with my goals and it's only been 2 weeks...
~ Kim Chinh ~

Get Rid of New Year's Resolutions that Don't Stick Once and For All

A handful years ago, in the middle of a sweltering July day, my sister turned to me and said, "My New Year's resolution is going really well." Caught completely off guard, I searched through my mind for a moment of time that was not humid and 97 degrees. I finally recalled that yes, at the beginning of that year, I too had New Year's resolutions! And that's where our similarities ended: I had zero recollection of my "life-changing" resolutions that were designed as the New Year arrived with its fresh hope...
